Spent a couple of days in Esperance. The beaches in Esperance are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The sand is pure white and is so clean it squeaks when you walk on it.
We had a nice little hike up Frenchmen's peak which gave us a nice view of the area.

Margaret River
On our first leg of the Journey we went down to the Marget River area in the southwest corner of Australia. This area is best known for its wineries and the best surf beaches in the world.
On our first day we just checked out some of the rocks in Yallingup before camping out at a lookout nearby.
Drove down Caves Road, which is named that because of all the caves in the area. We went down into the Jewel Cave which had some stalactites and stalagmites that were crystaline. Had a fun time chasing around the kangaroos near the campsite that night.
Did a little surf down at the River Mouth Beach before heading south to check out the lighthouse at Leeuwin Cape.
Checked out Beedelup Falls, which wasn't all that impressive, but had some fun jumping up and down on the swinging bridge.
Climbed the Bicentenial Tree which is about 75 meters tall. I don't really like heights too much, but I conquered it.
Chilled out at the cascades, before heading down to Mandalay Bay. The beach was beautiful with clear water and fine white sand. The waves looked nice too, but the rip was pretty dangerous so it wasn't safe to surf.
Did the treetop walk in the Valley of Giants. The walkway was actually more impressive than the trees. There was another path called the Emperor's Trail which was on the ground which was a much nicer walk to appreciate the trees.
The we went on to Denmark. The Elephant Rocks were really cool as they sort of did look like the backs of elephants.

Rottnest Island
Went over to Rotto for the day. It wasn't really the best weather, but since I'm leaving on Saturday it was pretty much now or never. There wasn't as much fish an coral as the Great Barrier Reef or Ningaloo, but it was really fun swimming through all the caves. I got to see a stingray swimming around. I've seen them lying on the bottom before but I've never seen them swimming while down there with them.
The photos didn't come out very well... still got a lot to learn about underwater photography I guess. And the battery gave out halfway through the second dive. But that dive was over 50 minutes so I guess I can't complain.
I wish the conditions were better, maybe someday I'll actually get to dive in decent conditions.

Hey its been a long time since I've added anything here. Working too much and not taking enough photos I guess. I'm getting ready to hit the road so I figure I should put up some photos of some interesting things I saw in and around Perth.
